About Us

Our campground is conveniently located next to Johnson’s Store (the only gas station & grocery store in town) and across the street from the town park. It is a short walk to Twin Falls, The Port Bar & Restaurant, and South Shore Bar. We are one mile from the gorgeous beaches of Lake Superior and the Port Wing Marina. The harbor in complete with new bathrooms, boardwalk, pier, and a public boat launch. Our campground also has ATV/UTV trail access.

The north woods beauty will captivate you, while the wonders of Lake Superior will leave you breathless. Port Wing has many adventures awaiting you and many great experiences to share with you. Our little town offers a bank, post office, school, church, quilt shop, 2 bar/rest, marina, grocery store, and a gas station.

Port Wing is home to Wisconsin’s largest fish boil, held, annually, Labor Day Weekend. A few other attractions include the Boreal Forest, The Chequamegon National Forest,  ATV & hiking trails, as well as many great fishing spots, including the famous Brule River, and many inland lakes. Lake Superior offers picturesque sailing, wind surfing, kayaking, fishing, and boating.

Our town also has heritage to share with you; from commercial fishing to a replica of the first school bus in the State of Wisconsin. The bus is located at the town park. The park is also home to the the historical society’s heritage hall & the Saturday Market.

We are located just 45 minutes from the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Bayfield, Hayward, and Duluth–a great central location to see all the attractions in our area!
